Supported CNA
A 22-week program to become a Certified Nursing Assistant held at Portland Adult Education. Students complete courses designed to reinforce math concepts, introduce medical terminology, and sharpen digital skills needed to succeed as a CNA before starting the State CNA Curriculum.Students are provided with hands-on training in our lab classroom and complete 40 hours of clinical training at a local healthcare facility. At the completion of class, students take the State of Maine CNA exam and receive assistance in the job search process.
Classes are full-time held during the day.

Application Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 228+ CASAS test score
- Watch program video and complete application form
- Work Authorization
- Required immunizations
- Two letters of recommendation
- Pass a criminal background check
- Complete an interview
