WorkReady Credential Training, a 60-hour soft skills-based training that matches employer needs with workers, is expanding service in our region. The PAE WorkReady Credential Training will be paid for by the U.S. Department of Labor, through the Workforce
Investment Act (WIA), using incentive funds provided to Coastal Counties Workforce, Inc.
Training participants will develop a personal employment plan, indentify transferable skills, create a portfolio, write effective résumés and cover letters, learn how to conduct on-line job searches, discover in-demand careers in Maine, meet guest speakers, participate in mock interviews, and network with members from the business community.
PAE is working in partnership with Coastal Enterprises Inc. and Goodwill of Northern New England to provide this training with a focus on employment in the credit card processing and banking industries.
The WorkReady program is sheduled to run 8 am to noon, Monday through Friday, January 25 - March 5, 2010. PAE has also added 20 hours of computer training to the original 60 hour program.
