Eunra Ko, PAE Student and Proud Parent |
|
Portland Adult Ed student Eunra Ko has good reason to be proud of her 12-year-old daughter, Seoyeon Kim. Seoyeon performed as violin child prodigy Erica Morini in Portland Stage Company’s production of “The Morini Strad,” and she earned a feature in the Portland Press Herald for mastering challenging last-minute musical changes. Neither mother nor daughter missed a beat with their studies throughout arduous rehearsals and performances. Bravo, Eunra and Seoyeon! Click here for Press Herald article. |

PAE Student Gains Employment |
|
Nicole Geisinger came to PAE in January of 2010. A single mom on TANF, Nicole's tuition was supported through ASPIRE program. Working for several years in numerous daycare centers, Nicole wanted a career and to be off public asstistance. She worked while taking classes and caring for her 4 year old son. Nicole earned an Accounting Clerk Certificate in July of 2011. Teachers and students enjoyed Nicole's pleasant personality, her inquisitive mind and her determination to succeed.
Nicole informed us she was offered a job working at AdvantEdge Healthcare Solutions in Falmouth. They are a third party medical billing center, and she will be doing batching and accounts receivable. Her position has full benefits and is working with some of the most laid back and understanding employers she has ever met. The 40 hour per week schedule is flexilble to fit her lifestyle. She is extremely excited to start and thanks the teachers and staff from Portland Adult Education for the training and knowledge she has gained. |
